Medical Disclaimer
Heartwood helps you keep organized personal health records. It does not practice medicine, and it is important to be precise about the line between the two.

Heartwood is not a medical device
Heartwood is a personal record-keeping tool. It does not measure blood pressure or any other vital sign. Measurements come from you or from a separate device you own; Heartwood records what you or the device report. The app is not cleared, certified, or approved by any medical regulator, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
No medical advice
Nothing in the app or on this website is medical advice. Reference ranges and out-of-range flags are informational, reflect settings you control, and are not a health assessment. Charts and trends summarize your own entries; they do not interpret them clinically.
Reminders are a convenience
Medication reminders can fail for many reasons: a powered-off machine, notification settings, system focus modes. Do not rely on Heartwood as the sole prompt for taking medication, and never change a medication schedule without talking to your prescriber.
When to seek help
Always consult a qualified health professional about your readings, your symptoms, or any change to your medications. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately. Do not use this website's contact form for anything urgent or health-related; it reaches a software team, not clinicians.
Devices remain the manufacturer's domain
Blood pressure monitors and scales that work with Heartwood are regulated products of their respective manufacturers. Their accuracy, calibration, and instructions for use are governed by their own documentation. See the support page for compatibility details.
